The Saugeen Shores Business Enterprise Centre (SSBEC) provides support to entrepreneurs at all phases of business development. Located in downtown Port Elgin, our staff assists entrepreneurs and business owners at all stages of business development – thinking, starting, growing & exiting, including succession planning. We host seminars and workshops with business-related topics.
The SSBEC is run through a partnership between the provincial Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the municipality. The office is also a service provider for the successful Summer Company program, which assists students between the ages of 15 to 29 to start up and run their own summer business. Eligible students may receive up to $3000 in awards, business training and mentoring.
